Some routes stay with you. With over 75 km winding through back roads and forests, the Bellechasse Cycling Route is an ode to peaceful riding. Paved, gently graded and beautifully woven into the landscapes of Chaudière-Appalaches, it is one of the finest cycling paths in the region — and it passes right on our doorstep. An open invitation to get on your bike and let the beauty of Bellechasse carry you forward.
What you will love
- Scenery that changes with every kilometre — the route follows the Etchemin River for the first half, then the landscape opens into forest at the foot of the Appalachians before reaching Parc des Chutes d'Armagh — an ideal terminus to cool off and refuel
- A route steeped in history — around 35 interpretation panels and a handful of historic structures trace the route's railway past. Cycling here is also a journey through time
- The return shuttle — total freedom! — new in 2026, a shuttle brings cyclists back to their starting point. Pedal one way, the shuttle handles the rest
- Water stations along the way — new this season, refill stations are installed at several points along the route
- The Cycloroute comes alive in 2026! — live shows, world music and artistic performances set up in the countryside at Armagh, Saint-Damien and Saint-Henri. A cycling path that becomes an open-air stage
- A major regional network link — connected to the Parcours Harlaka in Lévis and the Véloroute Dorchester, the Bellechasse Cycling Route is a cornerstone of the Chaudière-Appalaches cycling network. For those who want to go further, the connections are there
- 7 parking areas along the route — at Saint-Henri, Saint-Anselme, Sainte-Claire, Saint-Malachie, Saint-Damien-de-Buckland, Saint-Nérée and Armagh — start wherever suits your day
