Less than 30 minutes from the inn, there is a place where the forest takes over completely, where the summits offer breathtaking panoramas, and where every season brings its own wonders. Massif du Sud Regional Park, in Saint-Philémon, is the great outdoor playground of Chaudière-Appalaches — and one of our favourite places to recommend to guests. Whether you are hikers, cyclists, camping enthusiasts or simply curious about nature, you will find exactly what you are looking for.
What you will love
- 71 km of hiking trails for all levels — from gentle riverside walks to panoramic summits, including the new observation tower at Mont Saint-Magloire (917 m)
- 55 km of mountain bike trails — a complete network for cyclists, with equipment rentals available on site
- Four seasons of nature — hiking and cycling in summer, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, fat biking and downhill skiing in winter: the park never sleeps!
- Unique forest accommodations: PODs, ready-to-camp Éclipses, boreal tents, yurt, shelters — to extend the adventure deep in the heart of nature
- Obstacle course, geocaching, birdwatching, fishing — a range of activities to satisfy both sports enthusiasts and families
- Signature events throughout the year: L'Écho des Perséides (astronomy evening, August 8), Trail du Massif du Sud (trail race, August 22), boreal yoga, family day and more
